A small stand alone device that connects to the test taker’s computer via USB, the Remote Proctor enables a distance learner test taker to gain access to their computer-based exam only after properly authenticating their identity with a finger-scan.
The Remote Proctor’s built in camera also provides a 360 degree view of the room in which the test is taken. Software filters detect any changes in sound or motion, and upload both for later reviewing by faculty or exam administrators. On average Remote Proctor pricing includes: a one-time purchase of the hardware unit of $150.00, an annual software charge of $30 per student, and an Institutional Maintenance Fee that starts at $5,000 per year. Securexam Browser is a secure version of a web browser that automatically connects and locks down web-based tests, transforming traditional course management systems into high-stakes assessment engines. Hundreds of schools use Securexam Browser to lock down Blackboard and WebCT and it can be customized to secure almost any other system.
With Securexam Browser, students are unable to access information on their hard drive or open any applications on their computer. Students are also prevented from copying exam questions for distribution to friends or posting them on the Internet. With Securexam Browser all the functionally within your test can be supported with the comfort of knowing students are not cheating.

Securexam Student locks down the computer’s operating system, prohibiting access to content or applications that could lead to electronic cheating during examinations. With its dynamic word processing and spreadsheet analysis features, Securexam Student is eliminating “Blue-Book’s” from schools, universities and even high-stakes testing centers. Students get the benefit of typing either online or offline and faculty can read and grade legible exam answers. Securexam Student works in unison with our web-based exam management system, PlanetSSI, which simplifies the entire exam administration process.
Planet SSI allows teachers to create and enforce the type of exams for students to take using Securexam Student. Exam formatting and security settings are downloaded to the student’s computer prior to the exam. Upon completion, exam responses are automatically transferred back up into Planet SSI for reliable retrieval and printing.
PlanetSSI can also be used to manage take-home examinations. Teachers can post and students can complete take-home exams from anywhere in the world with digital enforcement of exam rules and e-mail reminders of examination deadlines, plus full reporting of the exam process. PlanetSSI makes exam administration more efficient.
